Stylish Name for Instagram (48+ ideas)
Your Instagram display name sits at the top of your profile and shows up in search, so it is the first thing people read. This page gives you ideas that look good once they are turned into fancy text, from soft and aesthetic to bold and confident.
Instagram lets your display name use many more characters than your username, which must stay plain letters, numbers, dots and underscores. Tap Stylize to open a name in the generator, copy the version you like, and paste it into the Name field in Edit profile.

Is the display name the same as my Instagram username?
No. The username is your unique handle (letters, numbers, dots and underscores only). The display name is the Name field, and it allows spaces, emojis and many special characters, so that is where stylish text works.
Will a fancy font name show up in search?
Search matches on plain letters, so someone searching your name may not find a heavily decorated one. A light touch, like a small-caps or bold style, is safer than a very ornate style.
Can I change my display name whenever I want?
Yes, though Instagram limits how often you can change it in a short period, so settle on a style before posting a lot.
